Meltzer Boutique Hotel is located in the heart of St. Petersburg, on Vasilievsky Island, within walking distance of major attractions and in close proximity to the Vasileostrovskaya metro station. The building in which the hotel is located is an architectural monument – the profitable house of E.F. Meltzer. A lot of outstanding personalities lived in the “miller’s” house. So, for example, in 1893 the apartment here was removed by the inventor of the gas turbine PD. Kuzminsky, and from 1927 to 1960 – the Soviet sculptor V.V. Lishev. The most famous among the tenants of the house was the scientist-geologist P.M. Tatarinov, a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences, one of the founders of the geology of nonmetallic minerals. On the facade there is a memorial plaque in his honor.
